Diplomacy / Re: Institution of Monarchy Conference

Having received the call from the West Phoenician officials that the queen was ready, King Aragorn himself and a motorcade went down to the Hotel to meet Diesel-Bush. He walked into the hotel, flanked by 2 members of the Black Rangers, somewhat like his secret service. He greeted the Queen with a smile.
"Greetings, Your Highness. I would like to welcome you to Gondor. We are most pleased that you would cone here to discuss the future of our system of government and its influence on the NCSA. The socialists have grown quiet. Perhaps that gives us an opportunity to make our voices heard, and to spread our influence among the states."

Eradan laughed and smiled warmly at the prince. "Thank you for the salute, Your Grace, but it is I who owe you homage." He and the other troops gave a salute, and then bowed, taking their hats off. "If you'll follow me this way, then we will go to the motorcade that awaits. You will love the palace, I'm sure."

OOC: I'm terribly sorry for the inactivity! Let's get this going.

IC: Mr. Gray answered the Queen quite simply. "Yes, Queen Ninjarino. You are the first foreign monarch to come here. We are elated at this, and you shall have a green tea at once, My Lady." The Steward motioned to a servant, who went over to a table with food and beverages on it, retrieving the desired drink and handing it to the queen. "Now, we won't begin the first meeting until more monarchs arrive, so I will help you to your quarters on the west wing of the palace. Dinner will be served within the hour."
******

The Lord High Treasurer slowed her pace to accommodate the gait of the pontiff, smiling. "It is rather chilly this time of year, but it is beautiful. If you'll follow me, the motorcade awaits.

Also in the airport, Crown Prince Temujin IV is met by General Bromsson Jr., and an entourage of soldiers. "Welcome to Gondor, friend!"

OOC: Sorry for the time delay, but here it is guys!!!

IC: King Aragorn was ready to give his speech at the Minas Tirith City Hall. He saw reporters out in the audience and knew that this speech was surely going to make waves in the national news media. Aragorn was donning a three-piece suit with a black coat, black slacks, and a silver vest. His shirt was red, and his tie was a striped red and silver to complement the rest of the outfit. The King mosied over to the podium, took a sip of water, cleared his throat and began to speak.

Quote
"Ladies and Gentlemen of the Press, my fellow Gondorians, and NCSA citizens abroad, I come before you today to speak on the upcoming presidential election. I firmly believe that this election will be a turning point in NeoConfederate History, but whether it shall be for good or ill I know not. For too long has this nation been eating itself alive, mainly due to the argument of State's rights vs big, centralized government. We had two Columbian Secessions, and the state of Sparta seceded for a short time before coming to their senses. The secessionists feel as our founding fathers did in 1861. They believe that State sovereignty has been eroded to such a point that this Confederacy is no longer a viable nation. I disagree, but I do believe that there is a way to prevent more internal strife from ever happening again, save for a terrorist state. What this country desperately needs is a leader who will understand the Constitutional balance between what the rights of a state are, and what the power of the Confederal Government is. The NCSA doesn't need a president who forces states to build things that they don't wish to, such as interstates, railroads, and airports!  A State has the right to say what is and what isn't built within their sovereign lands. We must allow States to choose their own paths, and trade with each other as they please. Even if the New Constitution passes, the same rules still apply. We must all remember that the Confederate Government derives its power from the states, and that they are sovereign, each guaranteed a government of its choosing. On the Converse, the Confederate Government should have some necessary powers, but they need serious defining. The incoming president needs to understand that the biggest issue is the National Military. We need comprehensive legislation pushed for by a leader. That legislation must regulate the way the NeoConfederate Military may go about its business, especially when dealing with under what grounds they may enter a State, with or without its consent. What also needs to be talked about is the issue of warrants. Is a warrant needed for the CBI to enter a state and simply investigate a possible national offence? What the answer to that is could be up to the Supreme Court in the end, but we need a President who is not afraid to enforce the laws of this nation. Nullification must also be dealt with, and a simple action of a Presidential Administration could be to file a lawsuit to see of Nullification is Constitutional or not. We need a President who will deliver on all their promises, and find a middle ground to all the aforementioned issues. It is therefore that I offer no endorsement to any party or candidate, but simply hope for a bipartisan president who can get things done without gridlock and animosity towards those they disagree with. The NeoConfederate States of America need an honest president who will actively seek out and find solutions to our nation's most pressing problems. Thank you all for your time, and I will now be taking any questions that the media may have."

King Aragorn stood a the podium, grinning from ear to ear, and expectantly awaiting the barrage of questions that was to come.

His Holiness and Crown Prince Temujin IV both have their respective escorts ready for them at the airport to take them and their entourages to the Royal Palace!  His Holiness will be escorted by Lord High Treasurer Christine Cook, and Crown Prince Temujin IV will be escorted by General Eradan Bromsson Jr.
***
The Carolinian monarch arrived at the palace after the brief car ride. In front of them stood the Royal Palace, one of the most grand fortresses in the NCSA. No foreign monarch had ever entered these hallowed halls, and Queen Ninjarino would be the first. Steward Gray welcomed her into the building. "Welcome, your Highness, to the Royal Palace! Right this way!"

The car driver turned to Queen Ninjarino, and said "Not ten minutes, your Majesty. We're already in the Capitol. But as we make our way to the Royal Palace for the next few minutes, be sure to look at the scenery of this great city."

Queen Ninjarino will be met with a large motorcade to provide for her large entourage, and she is being met at the airport by Steward Johnathan Gray, who will show them to the Palace.
***
The large motorcade pulled up to the airport, and Steward Gray waved at Queen Ninjarino, smiling. "Come, Queen Ninjarino! I am Steward Johnathan Gray of Gondor. It is excellent to meet you and if you follow me you will be escorted to the palace via limo."

Preparations are being made for Crown Prince Temujin IV's arrival, as well as Pope Innocentius IX of the Holy Apostolic See!

The Kingdom Of Gondor
Population: 200 million
Government System:Absolute Monarchy
Location:Wisconsin, Michigan Peninsula (Isle Royale)

Overview:
The Kingdom of Gondor is a large state in the 20th century, and one that reaches out to other states. The land is ruled with an iron fist by King Telcontar II, and he is quite the authoritarian. His right hand is his Steward, Ecthelion Barbarossa. Together, they make a two-headed political machine that keeps Gondor in good law and order. There is no official religion in the state, as all religions may practice freely, but it is to be noted that Gondor's primary religion is Protestant Christianity, being at over 80% of the total population. The military is large, and focuses and being a powerhouse in the region and world at large. The rich make far more than the poor in Gondor, but social progressives are on the move. What power they will have to sway the monarchy is debatable, but they will try.

Despite having an absolute monarchy, the economic system is free trade, but slightly regulated by the King. Gondor is famous for its many markets and antique shops, as well as tourist attractions. The booming economy is controlled by a wealthy few, and much corruption takes place behind the scenes. Gondor's primary exports are fish, crops, natural ores, cheese, wine, and beer.

Gondor is on the rise, but hasn't woken up from its sleep since its founding in 1876. If this sleeping giant is woken up, then a power play may be possible for Gondor to build an empire.

The West Phoenician Monarch will be accommodated with her request. She will be allowed to stay at the White Tree Inn, Min as Tirith's finest 5 star hotel, where the presidential suite is hers to enjoy. Her entourage and guards will be allowed to also room in the hotel. The building will be emptied out for the privacy of the Queen and for security purposes. King Aragorn also offers extra security from the Gondorian Royal Marines should she desire it. She is most welcome in Gondor.

OOC: Yes, Turk! If you want to send your defunct king, you are most certainly welcome to!  :P
IC: King Aragorn is most happy to see that two monarchs have already responded! King Aragorn is waiting at the airport with a motorcade for Emperor Rude.

Preparations are being made for Queen Ninjarino as well.

Diplomacy / Institution of Monarchy Conference
« on: October 22, 2015, 05:22:35 pm »
King Aragorn is interested in holding an Institution of Monarchy Conference, where sovereigns of the NCSA states may meet and discuss relations and the different variations of government. All monarchs are invited! The Conference will be held in the Royal Palace in the state capitol of Minas Tirith.  All monarchs will be housed in the palace, as there are plentiful luxurious quarters to accommodate all. Guard details will be allowed, but no more than 15 guards per country may be allowed. This gathering is essential to better understanding the role that monarchies will play in the future of the NCSA, so His Majesty bids all sovereigns that can, come.

I haven't yet lived up to this promise, but I just skyped Caos that I am moving on. I'm done helping him. I will not push for his appeal any more. His evidence was a farse and I am deeply sorry to everyone. I am moving forward, a new Gondor. I'm no longer his servant. I am free. FREE at last.
